Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd offered chance to sign difference-making attacker; London trio chasing Bundesliga defender The agent of an AC Milan attacking star has offered his client to Manchester United, while a trio of London clubs are all chasing a Bundesliga defensive stalwart – all in Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.   MILAN STAR OFFERED TO UNITED The agent of AC Milan attacker Hakan Calhanoglu has reportedly offered his client to two clubs, as there remains an impasse over his contract renewal. According to Tuttosport (as cited by MilanLive) negotiations over a fresh deal are moving slowly because there is a big gap between what the Rossoneri management have offered and the request of Calhanoglu’s representatives. Milan have offered €3.5million net per season plus bonuses that would allow the player to reach €4m. But a report on SempreMilan states that the player’s agent, Gordon Stipic, has asked for a salary of €7m per season, an amount that is considered too much. The report adds that the Rossoneri will only give that level of salary to players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is also due a renewal. Calhanoglu currently earns €2.5m net per season, but his client thinks he is worth way more and has already offered him to two clubs. Manchester United and Inter Milan are the clubs touted, with the former already said to have made a proposal that is tempting the Turkey star to move to Old Trafford. The Red Devils are after a long-term replacement for Paul Pogba, whose United future is becoming increasingly uncertain after a poor start to the new season. A free transfer would also allow Calhanoglu’s agent to collect a hefty commission. However, for now talks are expected to continue with Milan.   Subscribe to TEAMtalk’s daily newsletter…   PREM TRIO CHASING BAYERN STALWART Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keen on Jerome Boateng.
