David Luiz says ‘humble’ Arsenal man can do better, but is destined for stardom Arsenal defender David Luiz says Joe Willock “can do better” despite another impressive showing from the youngster in the Europa League. Willock capped off the scoring in the 4-1 win over Molde at The Emirates and put in another man-of-the-match display. Mikel Arteta was full of praise for the midfielder afterwards and said his “chance will arrive” in the Premier League if he continues his form. The 21-year-old is yet to feature in the Premier League this season, but his calm finish and all round display against the Norwegian side have definitely given Arteta food for thought. However, experienced defender Luiz thinks that Willock can do much better. Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Luiz said: “I enjoyed it. I really enjoy seeing the kids, enjoying themselves and improving us in every single game. “I remember when I started, so it’s always great to have your first feelings of scoring, playing and enjoying. We are here to help them to develop and help Arsenal to achieve their main goals.” Willock and Luiz then shared a joke before Luiz turned back to the camera and said: “He has to do better. I’m never impressed with him. He missed a goal when I assisted him.       “Joe is a fantastic kid, a fantastic boy, I’m always behind him to help. He can do better, and I’m not joking with this because he has the talent to be at the top level. “He understands that every single day. It’s a pleasure to play with him, especially because he’s humble. When you’re humble, you can learn things, get better and improve. “If not, you can’t understand. He has a great present and future.”   Subscribe to TEAMtalk’s daily newsletter… He’s got everything in his game Former Arsenal defender and pundit Martin Keown was also full of praise for Willock. “He’s definitely got everything in his game, you can see the improvement,” Keown said. “He affects the game, that’s what I like about him. If I had a criticism last season, it was his decision-making, when he was in the final-third, he would fluff his lines. “But not tonight, he was finding the other gears and he was maturing really nicely. “The next step, he doesn’t get to play regularly, is he gonna have to go on loan? Who knows. But at the moment, it’s really refreshing just to hear him speak as well. “He’s not bothered, he’s gonna put his performance in, and he’ll leave his story with the manager.” The post David Luiz says ‘humble’ Arsenal man can do better, but is destined for stardom appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
