West Brom make approach for £10m striker linked with Spurs, Man Utd Joshua King has emerged as a transfer target for West Brom before the domestic transfer window closes, according to a report. The main transfer window may have closed now, but Premier League clubs can still do business with teams in the EFL until October 16th. That means top flight teams could poach the best talent from the Championship over the next week or so. Bournemouth have already lost several of their best players since suffering relegation at the end of last season. Nathan Ake joined Manchester City, Aaron Ramsdale returned to Sheffield United, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser moved to Newcastle. One more big name could still depart in the next few days, though. Several clubs have shown an interest in King – who has scored 50 goals in 167 appearances for the Cherries. King was mentioned as a potential target for Tottenham before they signed Carlos Vinicius as a deputy for Harry Kane. At the time, King was dreaming of a return to Manchester United, where he was on the books for five years at the start of his career. However, United’s signing of Edinson Cavani suggests that is no longer a possibility. Hence, the Norway international may have to set his sights elsewhere if he still wants to return to the Premier Leaue. Aston Villa, for example, reportedly made an offer in September before signing Ollie Watkins instead. West Brom make King approach According to The Sun, West Brom have emerged as a new suitor for the 28-year-old. Slaven Bilic is desperate to sign a new striker, with his problems only heightening since Hal Robson-Kanu was ruled out for months with injury. Bilic has been chasing Huddersfield’s Karlan Grant, but the Baggies have struggled to get the deal over the line. Now, they have turned their attention to King, who is in the final year of his contract and is therefore available for a cheaper price. It could take just £10m to prise King away from Bournemouth. However, even that may be too much for West Brom at present. But Bilic needs to sign a centre-forward, so has made a plea to his board to pursue a deal. Therefore, the Baggies have proposed to pay £5m up front and the remainder of the fee in installments. With Bournemouth under pressure to get King’s wages off the books, a deal could be forced through.   The post West Brom make approach for £10m striker linked with Spurs, Man Utd appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
