To convince the German club, Liverpool will reportedly pay an initial £20million. What’s more, Schalke will receive several later payments as part of the deal to take it to £30million. The Sunday Mirror claims Liverpool want a ‘New Year swoop’ for Kabak, meaning they are looking to wrap up a deal for the defender ahead of the window opening. Kabak signed for Schalke last summer after the Bundesliga side triggered a £13million clause in his Galatasaray contract.
