He said: “It is the worst day of my career as Manchester United manager and the worst day for all of them as United players,” he told BBC Sport. Keane, speaking to ITV Sport on Thursday called the performance “disgraceful” and thinks some players are just not up to the job. Keane told ITV Sport: “The performance against Spurs was disgraceful. “We’ve all be in football, we’ve had bad days but I thought it was a disgrace to the badge some of the players’ performance. Too many bluffers. “Ultimately, I think it will cost Ole his job. With the players he’s got there. “I’ve said it before, they threw the previous manager [Mourinho] under the bus and they’ll do exactly the same to Ole.” United’s season has got off to an awful start. Solskjaer’s men started the new season with a surprise home loss to Crystal Palace before fortunately defeating Brighton. United loyal to Ole Solskjaer has now got another week to stew on the result before United face Newcastle on October 17. Talk of United approaching Mauricio Pochettino about the prospect of succeeding Solskjaer, has been played down by sources close to the club. The club have insisted the Pochettino rumours are wide of the mark and they remain loyal to Solskjaer, who has a deal until 2022.
