Man Utd sent message over swoop for star Bayern Munich attacker Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has shut down reports that Kingsley Coman could be allowed to join Manchester United when the transfer window opens. United were desperate to bolster their right wing this summer and saw multiple efforts for Jadon Sancho fail. Furthermore, he states their advances would have been knocked back and has also rejected talk a deal could be done in January. Speaking to German outlet Bild, he said: “There was nothing, and we wouldn’t have looked into it either. “His goal in the Champions League final should explain enough why we are relying on him wholeheartedly.” Speculation linking United with Coman emerged after the player’s admission that he’d like to play alongside Paul Pogba. “If I could choose a player, I would like to have [Paul] Pogba for Bayern,” Coman told Bild in July.   “This would be fantastic. He has unbelievable abilities and is a fantastic midfielder. “Apart from this he is not only important on the pitch. He has a huge marketing value. He stays in people’s minds.” Pogba, meanwhile, has himself been linked with a free-transfer move to a European giant in summer 2021.   Subscribe to TEAMtalk’s daily newsletter… United warned over January bid for Sancho Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, will not entertain any offers from United for Sancho in January, claims a report.
