The 20-year-old had been the target of racial abuse during his time playing in Serie A. Everton supporters grouped together to raise funds for a banner which read ‘No al razzismo’ (‘no to racism’). Kean remains under contract at Goodison Park until 2024, having joined Everton for €27.5m last summer. However, he is glad to have chosen a new adventure to play in France for the first time. “It’s true, I could’ve returned to Juve, but I made this decision along with my family to play in Ligue 1,” he explained. “I’ve been to Paris before and have relatives here. “I hope to learn a great deal from this fantastic experience.
