The midfielder has not lived up to his price tag since his 2017 move from Monaco. He spent last season on loan at his former club, but the year before that on loan at Milan – who now want him back. This time, Bakayoko is close to returning to San Siro on a permanent basis. And the final player who could be leaving Chelsea is Fikayo Tomori. The defender was one of the youngsters to benefit from Frank Lampard’s faith in youth last season, but he has not played since February. With Thiago Silva adding competition to the Blues’ backline and Declan Rice potentially doing the same if he joins, Tomori will not have as many first team opportunities next season. However, Chelsea still believe in him, having handed him a long-term contract last season. Therefore, they would only be willing to let him leave on loan. Tomori could either build up experience in the Premier League or abroad. Everton have joined Rennes in considering a move for him.
