TEAMtalk now understands that Gunners boss Arteta has told the defender he is free to leave before October’s transfer deadline. Indeed, Tierney’s rise has played a key role in the manager’s decision. The Scotland international showed impressive form last season after recovering from a shoulder injury. The left-back was in line to start against West Ham on Saturday but did not make it past the warm-up. Although, Arteta alleviated concerns of another long-term issue for the 23-year-old. “Kieran is fine. He had a little muscular discomfort in the last few days,” the Spanish boss said (via the Daily Mirror). “He tried today and worked in the warm-up but he wasn’t feeling comfortable today.     “We believed that he was going to be fit but during the warm-up, in the last 10 minutes, he said he wasn’t feeling OK. “We had to make a decision. We were prepared just in case and Kola came on and had a good game.” Kolasinac arrived on a free transfer in 2017 from Schalke, with the Gunners beating some of Europe’s elite to his signature. The Bosnia international has since made over 100 appearances, but his position looks under threat.
