He had a little muscular discomfort in the last few days,” the Spanish boss said (via the Daily Mirror). “He tried today and worked in the warm-up but he wasn’t feeling comfortable today. “We believed that he was going to be fit but during the warm-up, in the last 10 minutes, he said he wasn’t feeling OK. “We had to make a decision. We were prepared just in case and Kola came on and had a good game.” Kolasinac arrived on a free transfer in 2017 from Schalke, with the Gunners beating some of Europe’s elite to his signature. The Bosnia international has since made over 100 appearances, but his position looks under threat. Arteta’s Holding U-turn TEAMtalk also revealed last week that fellow defender Rob Holding will stay at The Emirates this season. The centre-back’s future looked uncertain, with Arsenal keen to raise funds ahead of further signings.
