Chelsea star Willian has revealed that he is yet to receive an offer to join Jose Mourinho at Tottenham, despite being in contact with the Spurs boss.
Willian will be out of contract at the end of the season, and could move on after seven years at Stamford Bridge.
However, the winger could stay in the Premier League, with a move across London to join Tottenham regularly mentioned as a possibility.
The 31-year-old was originally brought to the Premier League by Mourinho, when the current Tottenham manager was in charge at Chelsea – and Willian has made no secret of the fact that he continues to look up to the Portuguese tactician.
With Willian uncertain what his future holds, one thing he can confirm, though, is that he has not been presented with an offer by Spurs yet – although he has hinted he would only join another Premier League team if they were based in London.
“Nothing arrived from Mourinho, but we do have a good relationship,” he told the Bolivia Talk Show (as translated by Sky Sports). “He’s a big friend of mine. We speak to each other sometimes but when it comes to that (speaking about transfers) he respects me a lot.
“I like London and my family likes it too but that’s a question I don’t know how to answer.
“I don’t know which club I’m going to, or if I’m staying here at Chelsea, or if I’m leaving to another London club, or if I’m leaving England, that’s something I don’t know.”
