Borussia Dortmund are not planning for Jadon Sancho to leave this summer – although the player still hopes for a move, according to a report.
England winger Sancho is being heavily linked with a return to the Premier League when the transfer window re-opens, having been allowed to leave for Dortmund by Manchester City back in 2017.
Since then, the 20-year-old has developed into one of the most exciting prospects in Europe, and several clubs are interested in bringing him back to his homeland.
Manchester United have been the most heavily linked in recent weeks, although reports have indicated that they may put the potential nine-figure sum deal on the backburner.
The winger also grabbed the attention of Liverpool fans by posting a cryptic response to a message from Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Chelsea have also been suggested as a potential suitor.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Dortmund still believe that Sancho will be staying with them into a fourth season – especially with clubs like United being reluctant to meet their £100m asking price.
The picture may change in the future, though, with the report also claiming that Sancho hasn’t given up on a potential Premier League return and he will not extend his contract, which currently lasts until 2022.
The former Watford academy player recently admitted that playing outside of his home country at such a young age has been a “sacrifice”, potentially hinting at his desire to return to England.
