Liverpool have entered the bidding for young Brazilian star Talles Magno, while Manchester United have made an enquiry for Mohammed Salisu, all in Saturday’s papers.
LIVERPOOL BID FOR MAGNO
Liverpool have joined the bidding “aggressively” for Brazilian star Talles Magno, claims a report.
The 17-year-old, who won the U17 World Cup with Brazil in 2019, has taken the eye of numerous scouts from Europe whilst playing for Vasco da Gama this year.
Spanish paper AS via Sport Witness report that Liverpool and Benfica have locked on to the young forward.
Lyon and Sevilla were apparently hoping to get ahead in the race for Magno, but Liverpool and and Benfica now lead the way for Magno, who was linked with the Reds by Brazilian news outlet Bolavip at the start of the week.
Benfica have already made an offer of €3m to try and secure a move for the player and Liverpool are now “aggressively” involved, whatever that means?
It seems as though it is a straight fight between the two clubs for the youngster, who has has a €50m release clause in his contract at Vasco da Gama. AS though state that “around €25m” will be enough to land the player.
Magno first made the Vasco de Gama first team earlier this season and has netted twice and added an assist in his 17 appearances in the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro which finished in December.
In addition, Magno has bagged three goals in six appearances for the Brazil Under-17s.
