Man Utd resolve to be tested by ‘cut-price’ Real Madrid bid after Pogba makes exit intentions clear Man Utd are set to be inundated with an offer of less than what they paid for Paul Pogba as Real Madrid look to capitalise on the Frenchman’s desire to depart Old Trafford. The France international, 27, has been a lightning rod for media scrutiny and attention ever since Man Utd forked out £89.3m to bring him back to Old Trafford in 2016. His mercurial talents have never been in doubt, but his desire and ability to stamp his authority on big games has frequently been called into question. Pogba recently spoke in a rare interview regarding his injury rehab during the nationwide lockdown, but many have speculated that his eventual return could come in the colours of a different team at the beginning of next season. European heavyweights Juventus, PSG and Real Madrid have all registered interest, but it is the latter of that trio that appear to be at the head of the pack to sign Pogba. Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane has gone on record as being a keen admirer of his fellow countryman, while Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s apparent disdain for Mino Raiola’s antics have seen him already considering players who would be ideal Pogba replacements. Now, British newspaper the Daily Express add further fuel to the exit fire by stating that Real Madrid are set ‘to make a cut-price £70million offer’ for the Frenchman’s services. That figure is £19.3m less than what Utd paid Juventus four years ago, and considerably less than figures that had been touted as recently as the January window.   But with Pogba’s contract at Old Trafford expiring in the summer of 2021, Utd may be faced with a difficult decision on whether to offload their midfield talisman on the cheap or risk losing him for free in a year’s time. Their decision on whether to sell or not may be influenced by the Express’ declaration that Pogba has ‘made it clear that he wants a move to the Spanish capital before the start of next season.’ That emphatic statement is backed up further with the line that the player ‘won’t be signing an extension no matter the terms on offer.’   A potential Pogba exit, even at a reduced price, would go some way towards bolstering Solskjaer’s transfer kitty to spend on high priority target Jadon Sancho. The club were recently reported to have declared that they would not break their transfer record in order to sign the England forward, but a deal for around the £86m mark would be considered a ‘good result’ for all parties concerned. In other Man Utd news, Red Devils legend Wayne Rooney has remarkably named one club flop who was a ‘country mile’ than Paul Pogba.   The post Man Utd resolve to be tested by ‘cut-price’ Real Madrid bid after Pogba makes exit intentions clear appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING

Man Utd are set to be inundated with an offer of less than what they paid for Paul Pogba as Real Madrid look to capitalise on the Frenchman’s desire to depart Old Trafford.

Their decision on whether to sell or not may be influenced by the Express’ declaration that Pogba has ‘made it clear that he wants a move to the Spanish capital before the start of next season.’

That emphatic statement is backed up further with the line that the player ‘won’t be signing an extension no matter the terms on offer.’

The club were recently reported to have declared that they would not break their transfer record in order to sign the England forward, but a deal for around the £86m mark would be considered a ‘good result’ for all parties concerned.
