Pundit backs Man Utd to seal trio of high profile deals and mount serious title challenge Alan Shearer has urged Manchester United to take advantage of the uncertainty in the transfer market this summer and snap up three top targets. Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane and Jack Grealish have all been strongly tipped to head to Old Trafford when the season eventually finishes, with all three players facing uncertain futures at their current clubs. Sancho has long been tipped to return to England from Borussia Dortmund for a deal in excess of £100m, while Kane and Grealish could be tempted to pastures new despite their ongoing commitment to current clubs Tottenham and Aston Villa. Red Devils Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already spoken of how his club can “exploit” the financial difficulties being faced by some outfits amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and Shearer thinks that United should make a huge power play to snap up all three stars. “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was spot on when he said there could be a number of clubs forced into selling their big players for financial reasons,” Shearer told The Sun. “Whereas the majority will look to survive first before looking at transfer targets, Manchester United are in a different boat. “And with their financial clout, they are in a good position to take advantage in future transfer markets once football is eventually back. “To get anywhere near where they want to be then they need three, possibly four, big signings. “I understand the talk of Jadon Sancho, I understand the talk of Harry Kane and I certainly understand the talk of Jack Grealish. “Those three are exactly the types they need if they are to compete at the top again.” Of the three, Sancho is said to be the closest to finalising a deal with United ahead of the summer, with Kane more likely to stay and try and help Jose Mourinho build a new team at Spurs. Grealish’s future, meanwhile, depends very much on whether Villa can avoid the drop.     Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele has reportedly been in contact with Manchester United forward Anthony Martial over what life is like at Old Trafford. It comes following rumours that the Barcelona winger is being targeted by Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for a summer move, with his price tag slashed to just €60m. The France international’s future is up in the air, as Barca continue to be linked with bringing back Neymar, in what would be one of the biggest deals of the summer. Alan Shearer has urged Manchester United to take advantage of the uncertainty in the transfer market this summer and snap up three top targets.

“Those three are exactly the types they need if they are to compete at the top again.”

Of the three, Sancho is said to be the closest to finalising a deal with United ahead of the summer, with Kane more likely to stay and try and help Jose Mourinho build a new team at Spurs.

Read more…
