Manchester United are in talks with the agent of a Real Madrid flop, while Liverpool are chasing a classy Inter Milan midfielder, according to Friday’s newspaper gossip.

Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Real Madrid flop James Rodriguez over a potential £35m move to Old Trafford.
The Colombia playmaker is looking for a new club this summer, and a report in The Sun, via Sport, claims that the player’s agent has already made contact with the Red Devils over a cut-price move.
The 28-year-old has completely fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu since the return of Zinedine Zidane as coach, starting just four times in LaLiga this season.
And the report states that super-agent Jorge Mendes is attempting to engineer a move away from the Spanish capital and has approached United chiefs over a potential deal.
Rodriguez was close to moving to Manchester in 2017 after personal terms were agreed, but the two clubs failed to settle on a fee and the deal collapsed.
But the Spanish giants are now ready to do a deal for just £35m, less than half of the £71m they paid for Rodriguez back in 2014.
Rodriguez has won two Champions League titles, two FIFA Club World Cups and La Liga during his time in Madrid and also claimed two Bundesliga titles on loan at Bayern Munich.
Concerns will be that the player is past his prime, despite still only being 28, and that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would sooner move for a younger playmaking talent like Jack Grealish or James Maddison, while Jadon Sancho remains United’s top attacking target.
