Manchester United are set to offer a second trial to young striker James Graham in an effort to beat Liverpool and Wolves to his signature, a report claims.
Ross County starlet Graham is very much in demand, with Scottish giants Celtic now joining the race to sign him, according to the Scottish Sun.
However, the report adds that Man Utd have already made concrete steps to snap him up, with the 15-year-old undergoing a trial with the Red Devils in March.
Now, amid the news that Celtic are also keen on the youngster, who has already featured for Ross County’s Under-18s, United are said to be willing to invite Graham back for a second trial.
The Red Devils have been keen to recruit top British talent over the past couple of transfer windows, with high-profile deals secured for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James last summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also been prepared to give prominent roles to homegrown players from within United’s own academy, with Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood particularly impressing this season.
Graham’s trial at United in March was the second with a Premier League club he has had in recent months, with Liverpool also inviting him last October.
A third English side in Wolves have also joined the race, with Graham seen as one of the most promising strikers in youth football in Scotland.
Meanwhile, United have also been linked with another striker deal – for current loanee Odion Ighalo.
The former Watford star has impressed during his temporary stay from Shanghai Shenhua, but he has now made some revealing comments about when his long-term future will be decided.
