Arsenal and Manchester City are known to have joined United in the hunt for the defender, while Barcelona, Real Madrid and several Italian sides are also said to have been in touch over the player’s availability. However, the report states that not a single Premier League side has made a concrete approach to Leipzig as of yet, despite Upamecano revealing that he is attracted by a switch to England. That leaves Bayern Munich as the only side to have made a concrete approach for the player and leaves them as the firm frontrunners for Upamecano’s signature. The Frenchman has been represented for nearly two years now by SportsTotal, a powerful German agency who boast former Bayern midfielder Toni Kroos on their books, and that is said to give them the edge over any move. Meanwhile, Manchester United target Jadon Sancho has reportedly had his transfer value slashed by Borussia Dortmund ahead of the summer window. The England international winger has had another brilliant campaign in Germany, emerging as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top attacking target as a result.
