Jimenez says there’s a belief Wolves can achieve top-four goal Reported Manchester United Raul Jimenez says he knows Wolves are good enough to finish in the top four this season. Jimenez revealed recently that he has no release clause in his Wolves contract and believes Wolves will not sell him for less than the £34.5m they paid for him last summer. United have been linked with the Mexican No.9 after a blistering season in the top flight for Wolves. The 28-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided 10 assists in 44 appearances in all competitions this season and that has led to links, with the Sunday Express reporting United were keen on the forward. Jimenez though, who has previously suggested he was “open” to everything, last week affirmed his loyalty to the Molineux club and told a Bridgestone Mexico Facebook Q&A (via Goal): “I have a contract until 2023.” And currently, in lockdown with his girlfriend, Jimenez is thinking only of a top-four finish for Wolves, who are five points behind Chelsea in fourth place. “It’s big for a team that was promoted [two years ago] and this is only our second season in the Premier League,” he told Sky Sports. “We know that we can do it.       “We can fight for it and I don’t think we’re going to be disappointed if we don’t do it but now that we see that we can do it. “It’s incredible to be part of this team, part of this family, we are all working hard to achieve our goal and I’m really enjoying playing with my team-mates. “Every one of us adds his little piece to what we are doing. I was really enjoying the season, I know it’s not finished yet and we know that we have to keep fighting for the places that we want.” The post Jimenez says there’s a belief Wolves can achieve top-four goal appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
