Coutinho agent drops Arsenal bombshell over prospects of summer move The agent of former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho appears to have dampened speculation that the midfielder could join Arsenal, but says “everything is a possibility”. Coutinho’s career has not gone to plan since leaving Liverpool for Barcelona in 2018, with the La Liga giants sending him out on loan to Bayern Munich this season. The Bundesliga champions are not expected to sign Coutinho permanently this summer, and he still has no space back at Camp Nou, so the 27-year-old is being linked with a return to the Premier League. Despite Jurgen Klopp speaking of his respect for his former player this week, it is highly unlikely that Coutinho would go back to Anfield – but rivals Manchester United and Everton have been linked. Alternatively, Coutinho could end up in London, where Chelsea have been tracking him for some time – and now their rivals Arsenal have also been suggested as potential suitors. The reason behind the links is the good relationship between the club and Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, who helped the Gunners sign Coutinho’s international teammate David Luiz from Chelsea last summer. Now, Joorabchian has revealed how his allegiances to Arsenal may affect Coutinho’s future. “The fact I’m an Arsenal supporter is not a secret,” he told Sky Sports (as quoted on the Metro). “I don’t have any preference where the players go. “I don’t try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility. “The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic.”   That last comment may not be the most promising for Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta has already admitted that coronavirus may affect the club’s transfer plans in the summer. However, if they were able to get a deal over the line, it would certainly be a marquee signing, as the club may need to replace Dani Ceballos this summer if he is not signed permanently from Real Madrid.   The post Coutinho agent drops Arsenal bombshell over prospects of summer move appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
