Chelsea star tells Sancho why he should snub Man Utd for Blues move Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi has urged Jadon Sancho to snub Manchester United and join the Blues this summer. The Borussia Dortmund winger is expected to quit the Bundesliga when the transfer window opens, with United and Chelsea eyeing the 20-year-old. It is widely reported that the Red Devils are leading the chase for the England man, with Dorturmd said to have cut their price from £120million to £100m for the attacker. Dortmund have admitted they will not stand in the player’s way if he wants to leave this summer, and Hudson-Odoi, who has played with Sancho at international level, says he’d love to team up with the winger at Chelsea. Hudson-Odoi said on Instagram, as reported in the Daily Express: “Me and Sancho are mad close, we talk every other day, always seeing how each other are and how we’re doing. “We make sure that we’re both doing well, obviously he’s doing amazing and having a great season. “We’re always making sure each other is good. Obviously he’s a great player, I love playing with him – he’s a great player to play with. “For England as well we’ve played all the way through the ages so the link-up has always been there. “I played against him sometimes in the Youth Cup games or we would play each other for England, the link-up has always been there and we’ve always loved playing with each other. “The way we play with each other we just know where each other is on the pitch every time and we just love to play with each other. “I don’t know [if he’ll come]. Of course, I would love it if he came to Chelsea. “We’ve had a great partnership throughout, the way we play with each other is amazing. If he came, the link-up will still be there.” Sancho’s potential return to England has been one of the most talked-about transfers of the past 12 months and transfer expert Ian McGarry claims United feel they can sign the forward for around £52m due to the coronavirus pandemic. “It seems that never a day goes by without another mention of this particular transfer,” McGarry said on the Transfer Window podcast. “My information as of today is that there’s no fee agreed between Dortmund and Manchester United, in fact they are quite some way off that. “Of course the current situation regarding the global pandemic, I think both clubs are waiting to see how that pans out before trying to come to the correct valuation of the player. “Obviously Dortmund have been quoting €120m (£105.4m), Manchester United are not prepared to pay that. “I’m told some people inside Old Trafford believe that Sancho can be gotten for as little as €60m (£52.7m) once we start playing football again and the window is open.” Meanwhile, Jamie Redknapp believes that Mason Mount’s development could see Chelsea opt against signing Philippe Coutinho this summer.
