Andy Gray rips into ‘childish’ Jack Grealish, sends message to Man Utd Andy Gray has slammed Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish for his “massive error of judgement” in ignoring the government-imposed restrictions last weekend. West Midlands Police said they were called just before 10am on Sunday to the Dickens Heath area of Solihull to reports that a Range Rover had crashed into two parked cars in the street, causing them minor damage. Images surfaced online on Sunday of a damaged white Range Rover, as well as a picture that appeared to show the Villa midfielder in slippers and a bright blue hoodie. Grealish apologised via Twitter on Monday evening and was fined by Villa, and speaking to beIN Sports, Gray outlined why he feels the midfielder acted childishly. “A moment of gross stupidity. I’m very disappointed as I’m a massive fan,” the pundit said when referring to the alleged incident. “I’ve watched the kid grow up. Yes, when he was 18 or 19 he had one or two issues, but he has matured and grown up, but he has made a massive error of judgement. “These kids, and they are still kids, don’t know what to do with themselves. Once you’ve taken their routine away, they are no different to anybody else, and don’t know how to fill their day.” Despite his alleged actions, Gray insisted that Grealish will still earn a move to a “top, top club” in the transfer window, with Manchester United heavily linked with his services. However, he added that the likes of United should make sure that the midfielder has wiped his slate clean before securing a deal. “The reason why he is at Villa is because he wanted to stay at Villa,” the pundit added. “Jack Grealish will go this summer, when the transfer window opens – and he’ll go to a top, top club. “If it’s me, if I’m looking at him as a potential buyer, I’d talk to him and I’d find out if it was just one error of judgement.     “Because if it is, then it doesn’t stop me from wanting him in my team.” Grealish is said to be high up on United’s transfer wish list along with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The latest report has suggested otherwise, however, indicating that the Red Devils are having second thoughts about a move for the Villa captain. In other news, United are reportedly tracking Lille striker Jonathan Ikone closely. The 21-year-old has been a regular fixture for the Ligue 1 outfit this season, starting all but two of his side’s 28 league games. Andy Gray has slammed Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish for his “massive error of judgement” in ignoring the government-imposed restrictions last weekend.

Despite his alleged actions, Gray insisted that Grealish will still earn a move to a “top, top club” in the transfer window, with Manchester United heavily linked with his services.

However, he added that the likes of United should make sure that the midfielder has wiped his slate clean before securing a deal.
