Leno gives insight into Aubameyang’s Arsenal future Bernd Leno has revealed that he thinks Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will stay at the north London club. Barcelona confirmed they held an interest in the forward in January with director of football Eric Abidal saying: “There is a list with players like Giroud, Llorente or Aubameyang, but for one thing or another we decided not to sign. We believe it is the best for the club,” said Abidal. Asked specifically about Aubameyang, he added: “I know him. I do not have much to do beyond sports. He has a profile that has depth.” Arsenal’s top-scorer will have just a year remaining on his contract this summer, and widespread reports have claimed that the 30-year-old is on the lookout for a club to win trophies with. In March boss Mikel Arteta urged the club to sit down with Aubameyang in a bid to tie him down to a new contract at The Emirates. As yet though it’s unclear whether talks have begun, while Inter MIlan have also been linked with the Gabon striker. However, Leno, who joined Arsenal in 2018, believes Aubameyang will stay put.   Asked on his eSports channel whether Arsenal will sign any players this summer, Leno said: “I’m not sure, it depends who’s going to leave and who stays. I don’t know. “I think it depends if Auba signs a new contract or [if] he leaves. I don’t know what they are going to do. “But if he leaves, of course, you need another player. But I think he’s going to stay.”   The post Leno gives insight into Aubameyang’s Arsenal future appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
