Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho is attracting interest from Chelsea, according to a report in Spain.
The former Liverpool man, who is on loan at Bayern Munich, is a target for Frank Lampard, claims Sport.
Chelsea are reported to have made contact with Barca over the terms of a potential deal and the London club have also contacted Coutinho’s representatives.
The source claim Chelsea want to bring in Coutinho on loan with the option to buy, as Lampard looks to increase his midfield options at Stamford Bridge.
Barca are believed to be open to the offer with club officials accepting that a permanent €90m sale of the Brazilian looks unlikely.
Coutinho is understood to be “very comfortable” at Bayern, although Sport claim the German club has already announced that it will not exercise the purchase option of €110m in the summer.
The Bundesliga side could propose another loan for the 27-year-old, but Barca would apparently not be keen on that option.
Inter Milan have also asked about the former Liverpool man’s availability via a loan and they could come to an agreement with the two clubs already in talks about the transfer of Lautaro Martinez.
