All Saturday PL games could be shown live on Sky Sports and BT Sky Sports and BT Sports are reportedly in talks about showing all Saturday 3pm fixtures as part of an emergency coronavirus plan. The Mirror report that the broadcasters, who have seen thousands of their subscribers pause their subscriptions, could be allowed to show all Saturday 3pm fixtures to their audiences. The FA, Premier League and Football League, have for years, not permitted English matches to be televised live between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday within the United Kingdom in order to protect attendances. However, the exceptional circumstances mean that games could be put “behind the red button” just as midweek Championship matches are for existing subscribers on Sky, if the Premier League are forced into weeks of playing fixtures behind-closed-doors. It would ease the burden on the emergency services and hopefully prevent supporters turning up at stadiums trying to watch games even if they are locked out.       The suspension of football will continue to April 30 at the earliest and with no sign of when the game can return to normal, the plan may well be discussed further at the next Premier League meeting next Thursday. But, according to the Daily Mail, EFL clubs have been informed by memo that the global health crisis has made any likelihood of football being played next month impossible. A new date is expected to be announced next week following a meeting between the Premier League and EFL. The Premier League are desperate to finish the season and fulfil their contracts with the broadcasters and with each club having at least nine games each left to play that equates more than £700million in broadcasting cash.
