James Maddison to Man Utd chances rated by former Leicester star Manchester United target James Maddison is happy at Leicester and has no immediate wish to leave, according to one of the Foxes’ former defenders. The Red Devils already spent over £150m this summer, bringing in Maddison‘s former Foxes teammate Harry Maguire, Daniel James from Swansea City and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. But according to reports last month United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has his sights set on Maddison, with talk of another £80m raid on the King Power Stadium. However, Maddison – who looks set to make his England debut on Saturday in the Euro 2020 qualifier against Bulgaria – is more than settled with the Foxes and has no desire to follow Maguire to Old Trafford. That’s according to former Leicester defender Steve Walsh, who, in his capacity as a club ambassador, told the Daily Express: “He’s happy where he is, that’s number one. “And I think he’s grateful that Leicester gave him a chance in the Premier League because he was playing for Norwich and, OK, doing very well, but it’s a big step up. “We spent some good money (£20million) on him and are now developing him into a top-class player. I think he understands the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and I’m sure he’s a loyal kind of guy, he seems it. “He’s down to earth and a great lad. He’s got everything to make him one of the top players in the world if he continues with the progress he is making.” Walsh admits he knew from the first moment he met Maddison that Leicester have a special player and seven goals and seven assists in his debut season for the club proved he was a top talent. “The one thing with James Maddison, which I knew from the first day I met him, was that he oozes confidence,” Walsh added. “He’s a character, he’s got something about him. He’s really high in confidence and that’s what I like about him. “Brendan Rodgers likes his younger players and it must be a dream now to work with these younger players. We’re third in the league, have had a good start, but you take nothing for granted and neither will James.” Solskjaer, meanwhile, has been told to ‘use or lose’ an unhappy United star by the man himself.   Get the latest personalised Foxes products on our new TEAMtalk Leicester shop!   The post James Maddison to Man Utd chances rated by former Leicester star appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
