MAN UTD’S TRANSFER TURMOIL It’s been widely reported that Man Utd chief exec Ed Woodward has missed the last leg of United’s pre-season tour in a bid to get a couple of transfers over the line. The Telegraph claim that Woodward will need to speed up his move for a centre-back as a result of Toby Alderweireld’s release clause, which expires on Friday. Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s number one defensive target is Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, but Brendan Rodgers has again stated that the Foxes are in no rush to sell the England man and in fact have no need to sell the former Sheffield United defender. Time is ticking on the deal because if they cannot get Maguire done by this Friday, long-term target Alderweireld’s release clause of £25million expires. The feeling is that Spurs chief Daniel Levy will then inflate that fee to £40million. Elswhere, Yahoo Sport France, report that United’s first bid for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe has been rebuffed. MAN UTD’S TRANSFER TURMOIL

It’s been widely reported that Man Utd chief exec Ed Woodward has missed the last leg of United’s pre-season tour in a bid to get a couple of transfers over the line.

The Telegraph claim that Woodward will need to speed up his move for a centre-back as a result of Toby Alderweireld’s release clause, which expires on Friday.
