Marca take bold stance over Pogba’s fading Real Madrid move A transfer for Paul Pogba from Manchester United to Real Madrid is becoming more and more unlikelier, according to a report in Spain. Pogba’s long-running transfer saga has been the focus at Old Trafford since the season finished, but Marca report the deal is not likely to get off the ground.   Pogba’s public speech about the possibility of leaving for a new challenge away from the north-west which was compounded by agent Mino Raiola’s remarks, seemed to suggest a summer transfer. However, developments have been forthcoming and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though, remains hopeful of keeping the midfielder and insists that United don’t have to sell Pogba or any other wantaway player this summer. Real Madrid and Juventus have been heavily linked with moves for the France international so far this summer, with the Spanish club understood to be particularly keen. However, Marca, via Sport Witness, now think it has become “practically impossible” for Los Blancos to sign the United midfielder. The Red Devils are refusing to soften their approach over Real‘s interest in Pogba and are now demanding €200m, a valuation which Real have taken as a refusal to negotiate. AS report Real are setting about ‘Operation 200’ as they try and raise the cash to sign Pogba before the end of the summer window. The Spanish paper claims that they will offer Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Dani Ceballos to clubs in Europe to raise the money. Marca though insist Real may have to look at other options this summer, with Ajax’s Donny van de Beek and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen understood to be on their radar.
