Jack Harrison expects to tie up a loan deal with Leeds United to return to Elland Road from Manchester City this week.
According to Leeds Live, an arrangement between his parent club and the Whites will see Harrison return to Leeds on a season-long loan, and should be sealed by the end of the week.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa made it clear from the end of last season he was keen to have the winger back at Thorp Arch for the subsequent campaign after impressing in 2018/19.
The 22-year-old made 42 appearances under Bielsa last term, scoring four goals, and is known to be excited about working with the Argentinian again after such faith was shown in him.
Clubs across England and Scotland had held talks with bosses at City, but the interest from Thorp Arch has always been Harrison’s preference.
Negotiations between Man City and Leeds director of football Victor Orta must continue, but there is high-optimism a deal will be struck.
The bulk of the Whites squad returned for pre-season at Thorp Arch, with Harrison set be Leeds’ first signing of the transfer window.
