The situation surrounding one AC Milan star has given three Prem sides hope, while Arsenal are considering summer swoops for two exciting forwards, according to Thursday’s European papers.
PREM TRIO CIRCLE AS SUSO SITUATION UNCLEAR
There is still distance between AC Milan and their star winger Suso in negotiations over a new deal, according to reports in Italy.
The Spaniard only has one goal and one assist since January, but he is still considered to be the Rossoneri’s most creative outlet, and there have been rumours since the start of the season that they want to tie him down to a new deal.
The 25-year-old Suso is regularly linked with a return to Anfield, and in December Liga Financial claimed Jurgen Klopp was planning a €40m move to bring him back to Liverpool.
Arsenal and Spurs have also both been linked in recent weeks, and the trio will be alerted by the latest reports emerging from Italy.
According to a report from il Corriere dello Sport on Thursday (via SempreMilan), there is still distance between Suso and Milan over a new deal, with the player’s entourage looking for €5million-a-year and the the club only willing to go up to €4m/yr.
Director Leonardo is also believed to be somewhat paranoid about Suso’s €40m release clause, which clubs are free to activate at any point.
However, the paper does state that Suso is looking for a new contract, and has no intentions of leaving San Siro any time soon.
GUNNERS WANT FRESH ARTILLERY
Arsenal are eyeing summer moves for two forwards as Unai Emery looks to bolster his attacking department, according to the latest reports.
Goal state that the Gunners are considering a €30m (£25.8m) move for Brazilian youngster Antony, who his current club Sao Paulo rate as one of their best young prospects.
The 19-year-old recently renewed his contract at the club until 2023, while Ajax have also sent scouts to monitor his development.
Meanwhile, they north London side are also planning on re-igniting their interest in Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic, reports in Italy suggest.
Perisic has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the past 18 months, while Emery has also shown an interest in the 30-year-old.
The Croatia international has not hit the heights he did with Inter last season but would still fetch a fee in the region £35million (€40.6m), with Spurs also linked.
