PSG lurking as Arsenal consider cashing in on £60m star PSG have been scouting Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi with a view to big-money bid in the summer, according to reports. Guendouzi has impressed for Arsenal since joining from Lorient in the summer, making 32 appearances and scoring one goal. However, the Daily Express claim that Unai Emery would consider selling the teenage star to free up funds. The report claims PSG are heavily interested in Guendouzi – who played in their academy between the ages of six and 15 – and are ready to pounce in the summer. Emery would be reluctant to sell the France U21 international, but with current transfer funds limited, a bid of £60m may force Arsenal to seriously consider letting Guendouzi go. Alternatively, the Gunners could part ways with Mesut Ozil, although the playmaker’s hefty wages and price tag seem likely to make a deal more complicated. The former Real Madrid man has fallen out of favour under Emery, starting just one of Arsenal’s last 10 games, but remains under contract until 2021. PSG were in fact interested in Guendouzi last summer, but the midfielder chose Arsenal instead. “He was definitely a reason why I went,” Guendouzi told Canal Football Club, as translated by football.london, in December. “It was him who really wanted me to come to Arsenal. He is a very good manager, we have done very good results since the beginning of the season with him. “He doesn’t come across as feeling under particular pressure, he is just doing what he loves to do. “He has transmitted that to us on the pitch and that is why we are getting the results we are getting. “It is true that PSG were very interested, like other teams, there were a lot of discussions, but for me the best decision I could make was to join Arsenal. “Once they positioned themselves, I didn’t hesitate, I orientated myself in that direction. “I think when I was young I watched a lot of Arsenal, but the fact that there are a lot of French guys there played a big role.”   Get the latest personalised Arsenal products on our new TEAMtalk Gunners shop!   The post PSG lurking as Arsenal consider cashing in on £60m star appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING

PSG have been scouting Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi with a view to big-money bid in the summer, according to reports.

“I think when I was young I watched a lot of Arsenal, but the fact that there are a lot of French guys there played a big role.”
