Roma director Monchi is apparently a target for Arsenal as they seek to appoint a replacement for Sven Mislintat, but he is not the only candidate for the job. Former Gunners legend Marc Overmars – currently the director of football at Ajax – is also in the running for the job, reports claim. If the north London side manage to appoint Monchi, their chances of landing N’Zonzi from Roma would be vastly increased. Roma only signed the Frenchman last summer, but they could be tempted to try and recoup some of the £25m they spent on him given him inconsistent form.
