Asked what changed at the break, Winks told Sky Sports: “There were a few technical and tactical tweaks that we went with, but the most important thing and the biggest message from the gaffer was just to be more aggressive and to be more compact as a unit.” After going out 4-3 on aggregate in the round of 16 to Juventus last season, Winks believes Spurs are better equipped this time around. “Yes, we’ve learnt a lot from last year and the year before what the Champions League takes and what kind of level it requires, but the result is not over yet we have another leg to contend with. “We can’t rest on our laurels and we have another leg to play and then we can look forward to the next round,” added Winks.
