9.36am: NEVILLE HAILS GREENWOOD
Greenwood continued his fantastic form on Thursday with another goal to make it three in two games.
And Gary Neville, while on commentary for Sky Sports, could not hide his excitement about the 18-year-old.
9.10am: PENALTY CONTROVERSY
There was some furore about the way United took the lead on Thursday. The penalty was awarded after Fernandes span in the box and clashed with Villa defender Ezri Konza.
You can watch the highlights in the video below but, after the game, Solskjaer and Villa boss Dean Smith – who was left fuming at the decision – disagreed entirely.
However, the United penalty was not the only VAR controversy on Thursday – not by a long shot.
8.54am: SOLSKJAER REACTION
We start with reaction from United’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Thursday night. The Red Devils continued their fantastic run of form, making it 17 matches unbeaten.
Bruno Fernandes slotted home a controversial penalty to open the scoring, before Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba ensured Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side came away with three points.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer was particularly proud of Greenwood, who he admitted he cannot leave out the team if his goalscoring run continues.
Solskjaer was also asked about the future of Paul Pogba who, despite enjoying a resurgence in recent weeks, has entered the final year of his current contract.
