So, Liverpool have finally ended their generation-long wait for a league title – but it was Chelsea’s win over Manchester City that handed the Reds the title.
Pep Guardiola’s side needed to drop points at Stamford Bridge and Willian – who scored the goal at Anfield for Chelsea that helped end Liverpool’s title hopes in 2014 – scored a penalty to help hand the Reds the title this time round.
