Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta aimed a sarcastic dig the Premier League’s way, but mainly chose to focus on the positives after dvancing to the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Gunners’ league form has been underwhelming since the restart, with the FA Cup clash with Sheffield Utd seen as a chance to regroup.
A Nicolas Pepe penalty and late Dani Ceballos winner were enough to secure the victory in normal time, though the Gunners were made to scrap every step of the way.
The Blades has two goals disallowed for offside, and thought they had sent the game to extra time after David McGoldrick’s 87th minute equaliser.
Arsenal eventually emerged on top, however, and boss Arteta expressed his joy at the positive result.
Speaking to BBC Sport following the match, the Spaniard said: “I am really pleased.
“This is a difficult place to come and get a win. We are back at Wembley.
“I am really happy with the attitude and performance of the players.
“It is a great opportunity to try and win a title and play in Europe.

“We have played four away games since the restart. Thank you to the Premier League for our calendar playing every three days. But we go again on Wednesday.
“I knew Sheffield United were going to have moments. They are so good at their game plans and putting teams under pressure.
“We conceded form a long throw which is so hard to defend. But we were able to win the game.”
