The Portugal forward added another two goals to bring up his first hat-trick for the club – fully justifying Jurgen Klopp’s decision to start him in place of Roberto Firmino. Jota has now scored more goals for Liverpool than Firmino in 2020, despite only joining the Reds in September. He has seven goals from his first nine appearances for his new club. After the game, he beamed that he was playing in the best team he has ever been a part of. He told BT Sport: “I’m playing in the best team of my career so far. Jota impressed by ‘outstanding’ Liverpool attack
