Napoli ‘dream’ of luring Chelsea star to Serie A, despite one major obstacle Napoli have made two approaches for Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri, who is their “dream” target – according to an Italian journalist. Emerson has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of Ben Chilwell over the summer. He already had Marcos Alonso as competition, but now his chances of regular first team football have slimmed even further. The Italy international is considering a return to Serie A, where he used to play for Palermo and Roma. However, neither Inter Milan nor Juventus were able to sign him over the summer. A third Italian suitor recently emerged in the race for the 26-year-old, in the shape of Napoli. Now, the extent of their interest has become clear. According to journalist Ciro Venerato, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Emerson’s representatives have now received two approaches from Napoli. However, Chelsea’s €25m asking price could lead them to move on to other targets.
